Glue seats are easy to miss. That $120/month default is a stand-in for extra CRM, accounting, or middleware licenses you only keep because the zap needs them. Your number may be higher.

How to interpret results

The calculator stacks recurring sprawl (platform + glue seats + weekly fix hours) against incident costs, then compares that path to a Softix-style consolidate/rebuild figure over your horizon. Read the output as a planning contrast, not a bid.

  1. Hours dominate more often than the $49 plan. Three hours a week at a $35 loaded rate is a real annual line. If your fixer is a founder, raise the loaded rate.
  2. Incidents are lumpy. Six painful incidents at $250 is a starter. If a missed sync means a failed payroll or a lost enterprise deal, your per-incident cost is not $250 — update it.
